Easter

He has risen!
We had a great Easter weekend.
It's was really nice weather here so Madison got to Easter egg hunt with friends & play outside lots.
Our neighbors made a nice Easter lunch after church.

Now we just need to rid our house of all that Easter candy! Not good for mommas hips!

Iowa

So funny.. Yet true.. ;(

I still love you Iowa.. These were just too funny not to post.

57 degrees

Oh thank you Lord!
You heard my prayers! It is sunny & 57 degrees today! Loved playing outside, taking a walk & soaking up the much needed vitamin D!

Iowa fun

Well Monday Zach got a flat tire at the office. He had to change it in a cold north wind, about 20 degrees outside and it was snowing! Horrible!
Then Tuesday evening he got home from work and all of a sudden we heard air coming from a tire..10 minutes later.. His spare tire also went flat. At 6pm we called all over the little town we live in and of course no tire places were open. Wow! Small town living is crazy!
Yesterday Madison and I managed to make it out to the park to enjoy the "warm" Iowa spring weather. 40 degrees Wahoo!
Luckily we were able to get the tire problem resolved this morning and now can just relax cuddled up in blankets!

Annie Get Your Gun

It's a cold snowy spring day here.. So Madison and I took a little outing to Bass Pro Shop.. It's one of her favorite places to go.

Fun weekend

We had a great weekend!
Madi got to play dress up & made Monster cookies!
On Saturday Zach got his hair cut.. It was amazing how long his hair actually was.
We got snow Saturday evening, so a nice start to spring in Iowa.
Zach made me two farm benches for our dining room table out of old barn wood!! Just a little paint on the base & they'll look great. Oh!! And yes Zach used a chain saw to cut wood for another project he is working on.. Scary!

Getting back to normal

Well.. This was our first normal week after all our visitors left & it was hard.
I truly missed our friends and family.
Madison was still her smiley self, like always...so that always makes the week easier.
