Baby nursery & 70 degrees

Okay we finally finished the baby nursery this weekend! So cute!

Also it was 70 degrees out today, which is a big deal in Iowa during March!

We played outside, went for a walk as a family & ate burgers out at the picnic table ! Nicest day ever! 

Birthday fun

This weekend was my little Madis 3rd birthday. 

I can't believe it! She woke up to decorations, birthday cake pancakes and fun gifts, including a mini trampoline, I'm praying will help save my furniture. Ha!

Saturday night she had her favorite dinner, spaghetti, and then her requested pink birthday cake with blue frosting.

Sunday her daddy topped everything off with a trip to Pizza Ranch & the zoo! 

What a lucky girl!

Valentines Day and Road Trip

Valentines day was so great this year.  Zach and I continued with our tradition of pizza and a movie.. I love this!!! Everyone else is stressing out on how to show their love and affection and Zach and I can cuddle and just relax and enjoy each other.

Saturday morning we woke up and had decided to take a road trip across the back roads of Iowa to sight see.   Well... that might have been our original idea, but we got stuck in a snow storm and ended up just making it to Des Moines.  However we hunkered down, made lemonade out of lemons and had great food at Zombie Burger while waiting for the blizzard to pass.  Can I just say their shakes are to die for!  It ended up being such a fun trip.

Snow Day

6-9" today & still snowing.

Had baked French toast breakfast... Yummy! And friends over to play in the snow.

Pizza tonight for dinner & staying warm under blankets !!!

Busy back home

Well we've been busy since Christmas getting things back to normal.

We also got to celebrate zach's 32nd birthday!! So fun & yummy cake ! 

Our new baby is doing great in mommy's tummy and has an anticipated arrival in March!

Christmas 2013

It was a wonderful Christmas 2013!

We had snow in Iowa.. So technically Christmas was white.

We saw many family & friends during our trip to Fort Worth & we were so blessed with wonderful gifts, great food, & fun.
