A little girl

Madison had her first play date with another little girl today! Zach is so glad to know there are little girls in Red Oak.
Now we also played with madis best little friend Jamieson today too! It was his birthday...so lots of candy & fun today.
She is also asking about Santa & getting into the Christmas spirit!

Weekend

My mom came this weekend and it was so great to have her here! I can't wait for more visitors!
We went to Omaha on Friday to eat lunch with Zach & shop in the Old Market.. I was surprised to see they have cops on horses here too!
Saturday we had a huge bonfire & smoked pork chops for dinner. The pork chops were awesome . During the bonfire we found two huge barrels, one we are going to turn into a fire pit, the other a huge smoker!
Sunday we went to church, Zach changed the oil in both cars with 20 degree weather and a strong north wind. Then that evening we took Madison to see Christmas lights.
Quite a weekend!!

Okay I wrote this long post about my weekend but for some reason it didn't post.. So enjoy the couple of photos & ill repost my weekend later!

Smell

Why do all basements have a smell?
Well at least out here on the farm they do.. Just musty & old. I have decided to add febreeze car plugins to our air outlets in hopes that helps diminish the musty smell that comes from the basement.
Today madi & I went grocery shopping. The small grocery store now knows madi & it's fun to go there.
We then went & had a playdate.. All boys once again.. No one here has a girl!
We made peanut butter cookies & madi helped me clean up. This afternoon we walked out in the fields, Madison loves exploring!

Weekend

We had a great weekend. The weather was wonderful, except being extremely foggy.
Friday night Zach and I put Madison down for bed early & cooked dinner together. We attempted a pan seared ribeye steak & warm bacon & crouton salad.. Delicious.
Saturday was full of yard work & football.
Sunday we went to church and lounged around as a family. We even had our first little family movie... Despicable Me... What a cute movie.. Madi loved it!

Eggs?

Well...after getting in the Christmas spirit yesterday..I told Madi "lets make chocolate chip cookies for Santa"..(haha just cause I wanted some).
Madi did great in the kitchen helping me dump the ingredients in the bowl & mix. When we were done I let madison lick the spatula.. Umm yeah hives everywhere!
So perhaps we have a mild egg allergy? No wonder she doesn't like scrambled eggs.. Maybe they literally make her sick.
Anyways... The cookies for "Santa" turned out great. I even made a couple of ice cream cookie sandwiches to use up our vanilla ice cream .. Now who wouldn't eat that!
