Bible study, library, & first snow

Yesterday we had a big thanksgiving feast at our little bible study group..madi really enjoyed it.

Today was story time at the library, it was a thanksgiving theme as well. We met some new friends at the library today, a sweet young mom who moved to the area last week & had three kiddos..we all grabbed Chinese food at our great little place here in Red Oak. So much fun! 

Oh! We also had our first snow of the season last night!! Ready for the cold.

Sick day & getting in the Thanksgiving mood

Last weekend was so much fun!

We put up Christmas lights outside & worked in the yard raking & mulching leaves.

Saturday night we went to a neighbors fall/thanksgiving party in their garage! It was really fun to meet other neighbors & celebrate the harvest with the farmers.

I got really sick Monday & my awesome husband stayed home & nursed me to health & had some great one on one time with madi. 

 Last night we went to a thanksgiving dinner at our church it was such a nice fellowship.

9 years

Today is Zach and my 9 year wedding anniversary.
I'm so happy to still be married to this man!!
No sitter for us tonight... but were gonna cook a delicious steak dinner after madi goes down for bed... Fun times.

It's Cold

We'll it's been a cold week so far here in Iowa. I mean the single digits & teens for those of you in Texas that think 50 is cold.

It snowed Monday..madi loved it.

Yesterday it was beautiful outside, but super cold..we spent the day shopping. I got madi two fleece tops, 2 pants, and a pair of snow boots all for $13 at our favorite used clothing store! I also stocked up the house with the Thanksgiving menu! A 20lb turkey & awesome ham.
Yesterday afternoon pulling out of the garage.. I caught a cabinet door & it shattered my driver side mirror :( not good!
Hope the rest of the week goes better!

Weekend

We'll it was a beautiful weekend here in Iowa.
Saturday morning started with a delicious buttermilk pancake breakfast.. Then hanging Christmas lights outside & helping grandpa Jackson with harvesting activities.
Sunday..church & then a bonfire in our fire pit & just hanging out as a family.
Can't wait till next weekend!!!

Interesting Child

I have an interesting child...
She loves accessories, hats, glasses, jewelry ..
Oh this also was our attempt at a rocket spaceship.. To take her to the store to buy jewelry & toilet paper.. Apparently!
